Week Three Update

Dennis couldn't resist attempting to shine up a bit, and was kinda daunted by the stubborn nature of 40+ years of grime and corrosion. Personally, I'm looking forward to spring days and time to polish the panels, so I hope he'll just continue to make interior plans.

We haven't begun the real work, because we are still awaiting the title transfer. Once that has been accomplished, and a few days of weather cooperate, I think we'll make lots of progress fast. He's really having a hard time leaving it alone.

He's promised me a video comparing building an airplane to an Airstream, so since he's got an aluminum experimental airplane in the shop right now (a Zenith 701), it should make for an interesting comparison.

In the meantime, we just keep watching every video we can on YouTube, and thinking about how we'll use the Airstream most often to facilitate layout options. We have just about talked ourselves out of a blackwater tank, for example, and just going to go composting toilet. But we are a long way from those decisions.

I humored myself and made a couple of sets of "Airstream" pillowcases as I wait.

Hopefully Week four or five will have lots of progress to show! Stay tuned.
